Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD), sometimes known as LSD Sailor Moon or just “acid,” is a strong hallucinogenic substance that changes your perceptions and thinking. Although it comes in a variety of shapes, tabs and blotters—small squares of paper—are the most common form.
The amount taken, the user’s personality, mood, expectations, and the setting in which the drug is used all influence the unpredictable effects of LSD. These effects can linger for up to 12 hours after consumption and often start 30 to 90 minutes later. The following are a few LSD side effects:
- Psychological effects include mood swings, dilated pupils, elevated blood pressure and pulse rate, perspiration, insomnia, dry mouth, and tremors. Feelings and sensations shift far more drastically than the outward manifestations. It’s possible for users to experience multiple emotions simultaneously or to switch between them quickly.
- Hallucinogenic Effects: The user may suffer from anxiety, depression, hallucinations, distorted color and shape perception, and changed sound perception. Out-of-body experiences are reported by certain users.
